About the Artist
Ricardo Corona is a Background Artist, Visual Developer and illustrator at CSULB. He is a student in the BFA Pre-Production program and will be graduating in spring 2020. His interest is drawing and painting fantasy creatures and much more. The painting that was seen in the Gallery symbolize the variety of characters that exist in the world. The inspiration comes from the characters and transforming them into creating new story.
Formal Analysis
It illustrates the different visuals of characters and be put into stories. Overall, the art contains many different varieties of colors that made the painting more appealing. It has shapes and characters in the painting that tells a story.
Content Analysis
The different paintings that was being showcased in the Gallery all consist of pieces that explore the different combinations of Wild West genre and varieties of characters from a movie or video game. The exhibit creates the content of Enchanted Borderlands.
Synthesis/ My Experience
After experiencing the different arts that was being showcased in the gallery I was able to relate it to my childhood, because some of the characters that took part of the artworks was some character that I was familiar with because I was able to remember it from a game and see it as a theme of something.
